Problems Associated with Calcium Deficiency: Calcium is one of the important mineral of our body and environment. It requires for the operation of so many fundamental, necessary and vital functions. It also involves in the smooth conduction of the nerve impulses and contraction of muscles which helpful in the locomotion of animal body. Normal blood calcium level of our body is 8.5-10.5 mg/dl. If the blood calcium level goes below this level this condition is termed as hypocalcaemia. Many of the reports and studies has shown that deficiency of calcium of leads to development of the pathological condition of eyes known as cataracts. There is no medicinal treatment of this disease only prevention is the measure of disease. Dental related problems- When the body doesn’t have enough calcium, it gets it from places like the teeth.
